This module reviews the topic of PONV prophylaxis and management.

By the end of this session you should have:

1. Examined your practice in relation to PONV risk management
2. Learnt to quantify your patient’s PONV risk
3. Determined the place of each PONV class of agent in your practice
4. Learnt to distinguish between 5HT3 receptor antagonists in the management of PONV
5. Developed a strategy for management of failure of PONV prophylaxis
